Attend the Chastain Park Arts Festival
The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces is proud to announce the 13th Annual Chastain Park Arts Festival. This two-day event will feature up to 200 fine local and regional artists and artisans along tree lined Park Drive in Chastain Park. Find out details here.
Watch The Headless Horseman of Silly Hollow at Center for Puppetry Arts
Schoolteacher Ichabod Crane helps the Headless Horseman find a new head and an even spookier image in this comedic version of the famous Washington Irving short story. Meanwhile, a jealous Brom Bones tries to run Ichabod out of town as they both vie for the affection of Katrina Van Tassel. In the end, the Horseman saves the day and everyone is “happy ever after!” Here are the details.
Check Out Adventure Cubs at Zoo Atlanta
Each month a new adventure awaits with new animals to observe. Adventure Cubs will explore a new region of the world to investigate the animals and environments there! Celebrate Oktoberfest in Helen
Beer, brats, bands and Lederhosen – the Helen Oktoberfest has them all. Join the longest running Oktoberfest in the United States, which runs from September 9 through Nov. 7. Every year the Helen Festhalle houses the event. German-style bands play, Alphorns blown, Cowbells ring and the Accordion wheezes. Enjoy a good German beer with a Brat on a roll.
