East Imperial Gin Jubilee KL 2019 will be returning this year from 8 to 12 October. Set on an even bigger stage this year, the opening party will kick off at W Kuala Lumpur hotel and end with the Gin Lane finale on the 12th of October at Sentul Depot.

Regulars to the annual event will notice that there's been an upgrade from last year's Gin Lane venue in Plaza Batai to an even bigger space at Sentul Depot. "Since we started organising the event in 2016, we’ve seen East Imperial Gin Jubilee KL go from strength to strength," said Wholly Spirits Managing Director and Founding Partner Shawn Samuel, organiser of the event. "Last year, over 2,000 gin and tonic lovers came for our closing Gin Lane party, and this year, we’re expecting more to show up. Malaysians really love their gin and tonics!"

Meanwhile, the opening party held at Wet Deck in W Kuala Lumpur on the 8th of October will be open to the public. Guests will get to try gin and tonics made with East Imperial's range of tonic waters together with Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin. Throughout Gin Jubilee KL 2019, there will be various masterclasses with brand ambassadors, events, and tastings.

This year, 26 local bars and 13 gin brands will be participating in the event. The gin brands include artisanal brands such as Caorunn Gin, Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin, G'Vine Floraison, Napue - Kyro Distillery Company, and more.

Each bar will be given one of the participating gins to pair with East Imperial's tonic waters to create KL's Best Gin and Tonic – there will be a total of 26 cocktails participating in the contest that anyone can vote for. All you need to do is head to your bar of choice and try the Gin & Tonic. To vote, post a photo of the drink on Instagram with the hashtags #EastImperial and #GinJubilee2019 as well as the bar's location. The voting period will be running from 1st to midnight 12th October 2019.
