Hello and happy Tuesday!  Raise your coffee cup cause I’ve actually been awake since 5:37am after literally falling asleep while trying to post to my Instagram stories last night at 9pm.   But, I’m up early, started a load of laundry, and am ready to get all the things done today!

I noticed that this smocked top that I wore last week just went on sale for 25% off and only $36!!  If you’re looking for a pretty blouse to update your summer wardrobe, this one is definitely calling your name.  I absolutely love the vibrant coral and yellow blooms of this print but it also comes in 3 other gorgeous colors including a feminine white floral.

I’ve been loving all the smocked styles lately and actually realized that it’s one of my go-to trends in the summertime (my other looks: one, two, three, four, five…  oops ).  There’s no doubt that Texas gets pretty steamy in the summer so I’m almost always choosing styles that are flowy and airy. Only downside is that sometimes billowy styles can be overwhelming if you’re petite, so thank goodness for smocked tops that are comfy and figure-flattering!  This particular top from Abercrombie is only smocked in the waist and actually gives you that hourglass shape, while the top V-neck has hook closures that allow you to adjust if you want to show a little more skin — wear it open to make it into a date-night look!  I have it fully closed for reference.

Peep that sleeve tie detail!!  I mean, it’s like the cherry on top with this top.  I do have to say that the reviews for this blouse mention that some received it in the wrong color — I actually didn’t have any issues with my order so hopefully it means that the warehouse has sorted everything out on their side.  This is a top that you will regret skipping out on the next time you’re thumbing through your closet looking for a cute outfit!
